Trento for its position and history has always been considered a meeting point of the Central European culture for the traditions that distinguish it. The idea of the Christmas Market develops from this influence: in the beginning it was born in Germany under the name Stiezelmarkt, later renamed by the more commonly known name Christkindlmarkt.
The Trento Christmas Market is divided into two squares, Piazza Fiera and Piazza Cesare Battisti and has more than 90 exhibitors including food and wine, local crafts and artistic crafts. The many initiatives organized in the city make Trento a well-known and appreciated city of Christmas.
The Accademia hotel boasts a strategic location, in the old town a few hundred meters from the squares mentioned above, from Piazza Duomo with its cathedral of San Vigilio and the famous statue of Neptune and the imposing Castle of Buonconsiglio (Good Council).
The new residential complex Le Albere, a large architectural work designed by Renzo Piano, with the famous Muse-Museum of Sciences is only a 15-minute walk away. Here the tourist can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere without giving up a cultural visit of the city of the Council of Trento.
